As a result of these details, we’re already wondering what the soon-to-be royal’s dress will look like. While we assume Meghan will honor tradition in a custom design and pay homage to Princess Diana as Kate Middleton did with her gown, we also foresee her having more of a fashion moment. Meghan will no doubt choose an elegant silhouette, and we predict she’ll set herself apart, be it with a contemporary design, a dramatic embellishment or even a delicate splash of color. We’re not discounting timeless details altogether—we expect Meghan to work in a bit of lace à la the Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa Middleton or to mirror their choices of sleeves (long, three-quarter or cap). It is possible she’ll go strapless to differentiate herself, however, as she favors the silhouette in her regular wardrobe.
To satisfy our insatiable curiosity, we culled breathtaking designer bridal gowns from the Fall 2018 collections. Our fingers are crossed for details to spill before Harry and Meghan’s nuptials, but until then, we’ll continue to fantasize. Take a look.
